Count Down to Exams

December 10

This is the Dee day. At the moment I read as much as I can and do the tests at the end of the book. On Wednesdays a few of us meet to read a chapter and discuss what we have read and points to consider.
I have set up a Facebook page called Learning Matters. Haven't logged in for days now.
As I write this now I can hear the storm so frightening! My boyfriend has been away for 5 weeks and will be travelling back to the UK tonight. Will be home in the morning. I feel so happy as if Christmas is here.  At least it is my birthday soon!

Planning is essential:
Exam day has been and gone, the required pass mark was 60% I don't know what happened but due to new job constraints etc I wasn't well prepared. Don't get me wrong I am not one to give excuses but I only obtained 57%. I had only read a third of the book so what did I expect. It was too late for me to postpone the date so I went ahead with it, if only I had read over the paper again.
Now what I need to do is plan properly.

Lessons learnt:
Don't trust anyone - I only told 2 people about my predicament. By the time I got to work on Monday everyone knew about my failure. Not one person said a word about the exam to me until I approached the subject and then they mentioned they knew about it.
Don't I want to be a better staff and progress this next year? To do so will require that I take a little time to reflect on what I learned about people I work with and myself, and the things in which I place my faith.
